![]() I would have loved to give the Hyatt Arch St. If staying downtown I would go for a boutique hotel. It was truly miserable and if I had self parked I probably would have left. I could hear their videos they watched on cell phones. They were calling each other the N word and that's not really my kind of night especially with my biracial child sleeping next to me. All night we could hear the next room SO LOUD because of the door that adjoins us. I'm fine with smoking in designated areas and marijuana being your own choice but I don't want to smell the staleness of it the entire time. The rooms around me smelled of stale weed. The hallway had trash there that I assumed would be picked up. We had a room that adjoins to another room. Check in was easy but I didn't like them trying to sell me an upgrade. Gimmick? The room was affordable and a great price. I saw later in reviews others also noted this. When we arrived we saw a sign that the lot was full. I read about parking ahead of time and prefer to self park so that was part of the decision to book here. We stayed here NYE because my 5 year old daughter wanted to be by the Arch. I would stay here again, but I would think twice about it if I had my truck with me. ![]() Be aware that this hotel has interior rooms that are windowless. We returned to the room at 7pm and the door was propped open with no housekeeping in site anywhere on the floor…they just left our door open! We spoke to management regarding the issue and she was appropriately horrified but nothing can really be done. We left our room when housekeeping came in at 4pm. The parking garage has low clearance so if you drive a pick up, call and ask. ![]() Two people had their cars broken into while we were there. This hotel should have on-site security, but they don’t. We got asked for money several times while waiting in the valet area. It’s in a great location for proximity to attractions, however, the area of St Louis it’s in has a lot of questionable people roaming around. There was a lot of miscommunication with the hotel (set up for 150 instead of 400 as requested?) The hotel is pretty. Several in our party fell ill after eating at one catered meal. Staff would serve half a table and then go to another table and come back for the other half later. Water glasses were rarely refilled at meals. Right next to the arch and park Walking distance to the baseball stadium Good restaurant on site (the brew house) Cons: Tiny, slow elevators (horrible for conferences) Cleanliness is hit-and-miss Parking is a pain Needs security outside (didn’t have it) Not all rooms are outfitted the same Overall, we had a good stay for five nights during a fairly large event. Pros: Very comfortable beds Fabulous towels, linemen’s, etc.
